You are bent on losing weight, determined to get moving and start on a better diet. To get optimum results fast, you need diet supplements to help you get to your goal weight. Our reviews are all geared to help you pick out the supplement you think is right for you. Let’s see how Goji Active rates as a diet supplement.
What is Goji Berry?
Goji berry is the commercial name for Wolfberry, which is extensively cultivated in large plantations in China. For the past decade, Goji berries have garnered considerable attention because these berries contain a lot of nutrients and antioxidants.
What is Goji Active?
Goji Active is a weight loss supplement that supplies the nutrition and stimulants to give you enough energy to see yourself through your exercise program and to combat the weakening effects of dieting. By itself, Goji Active will not rid you of your excess fat; it must be taken in conjunction with a calorie restrictive nutrition program and exercise.
What’s In A Pill?
One pill contains a total of 560 mg. of caffeine-related stimulants in the form of green tea leaf extract, EGCG and caffeine. There are 75 grams of chromium polycotinate, an ingredient used in many diet supplements to regulate blood glucose levels and therefore metabolism. There is a very small dosage of another green tea derivative, L-Theanine, which is a mood enhancing, stress relieving ingredient; however, its amount may be too little to be of much use here.
There is 50 mg. of Goji Berry in Goji Active. Goji Berry does nothing for weight loss but perhaps it does supply you with the nutrients needed to fight dieting stress and give you an overall sense of health and well-being.
Does Goji Active Work?
Goji Active will help you lose weight as long as this is accompanied by the requisite diet and exercise. The weight loss action won’t come from the Goji berry, though. It will be the thermogenic action of green tea, EGCG and caffeine that will do the trick. The Goji berry here seems only to be a nutritional add-on, but a very healthy one.
In essence, Goji Active is a caffeine pill with antioxidants and phytonutrients. The Goji derived name here is simply a marketing ploy to distinguish this product from the horde of supplements out there.
Remember that with any stimulant, there are side effects. Although Goji Active is a non-prescription pill, make sure your get your doctor’s approval particularly if you are caffeine sensitive.
The Bottom Line:
Should you take Goji Active? Sure why not, as long as you are fine with caffeine and caffeine-related stimulants and are under no impression that the Goji berry is the ingredient at work for your weight loss.
